I bet you worry. We all do at some point. There’s going to be something in your life that needs attention. A problem that needs to be solved. We all tend to worry about something that hasn’t even happened yet. That’s the worst! It’s not healthy to focus all your efforts on the “what ifs”. The average worrier is 92% inefficient – only 8% of what we worry about ever comes true.
8%! That’s a very low percentage. Go back to a recent situation that you worried about that never happened. How much energy did you drain? How much anxiety did you cause yourself? Unhealthy? Indeed it is. The next time you feel the need to worry, just step back and wait a minute. Ask yourself, “Is this really something I need to focus my efforts and energy on?”.
Do not anticipate trouble or worry about what may never happen. Keep in the sunlight. ~Benjamin Franklin

Sometimes we may feel that our actions do not make a difference or contribute anything. We shouldn’t feel that way at all. The simplest action will cause a ripple effect and touch someone else’s life in some way. Everything in this world is interconnected. Science suggests that something as trivial as the beating of a butterfly’s wings in the Amazon can influence the formation of a tornado in Texas. Read the rest of this article »

Have you ever been hurt, emotionally? We all have at some point in our lives. Maybe we didn’t necessarily do anything wrong, but there is nothing you can do when you’re hurting. That’s how you feel and you cannot change that. We often think that time is a healer. We tend to “sleep off” things when they bother us. Sometimes we wake up with a new day and a new agenda and other times we wake up with the same problem.
The bottom line is time doesn’t change anything. The work we do while the time passes is what makes the change. If you know you’ll feel better about something a few months down the road, what can you do today to make that feeling become immediate?
They say that time changes things, but you actually have to change them yourself.

Coming together is a beginning. Keeping together is progress. Working together is success.

Teamwork is an important part of life. My team consists of my family, my girlfriend, my friends and my colleagues. Each person on my team has an important role and without them, I would not be where I am today. When life seems to be bothering me or if things just are not going so well, I can count on them to be there to lift up my spirits. If I’m happy, they are there to celebrate with me. You can do anything if you set your mind to it. Have you heard that before? Well, it’s true.
Setting your mind to something starts with self-discipline and self-motivation. Without that, you have no fuel to energize yourself to meet the goals you set. Without any action there will be no reaction. I know, Newton’s Third Law of Motion: For every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction. Read the rest of this article »

Powerful and undoubtedly strong, love is an amazing emotion. In my opinion, the best description of love can be found in the Bible.
Corinthians 13
Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.
Read that over and over and when you’re finished, read it again. What does it tell you? How does it make you feel? Every time I read that passage I feel uplifted.
