The following was an e-mail sent to me from my Mom. After reading it, I felt I had a better understanding on life and what our purpose is. Take a moment to read the following with an open mind.

Being a veterinarian, I had been called to examine a ten-year-old Irish Wolfhound named Belker. The dog’s owners, Ron, his wife Lisa, and their little boy Shane, were all very attached to Belker, and they were hoping for a miracle. (more…)

As the saying goes “It takes more muscles to frown than it does to smile”. With that being said, I want to take the opportunity to express how important it is to smile every day. It can communicate feelings such as: love, happiness, pride, contempt, and embarrassment.

Smiling not only makes you stand out, but it also helps your body to function better. Smiling improves your health, your stress level and your attractiveness. You may not know it, but we are drawn to people who smile. We see a person smiling and want to know what is so good. (more…)

Painting Your World

December 9th, 2008

Your world… your Universe is what you make it.

Take what I just said into deep thought. You surround yourself with what you want. If you choose to live a happy life, you think of positive things. You may be the person who says “I have the worst luck ever.” No, there’s no luck, there’s you. You may not know it, but what happens is you think negative thoughts and attract the badness to you.

Let me use my life as an example. (more…)

The Dash

November 7th, 2008

I recently read a poem that really touched me. The basis of the story is about how you spend your life. It shows you how important it is to be a good person and have positive effects on the lives of those you truly love the most. After reading the poem, you’ll look at your “dash” differently. (more…)
