Speaking with Passion

October 14th, 2010

We can feel when a person speaks with true passion. If they truly believe in what they preach, our bodies can sense it. We are drawn to them like a moth to a flame. Our interest is peaked. When a person sits quietly and doesn’t spit out meaningless chit-chat, their passion becomes more powerful when they express it. The next time you have something to say, say it with strength and passion.

Be still when you have nothing to say; when genuine passion moves you , say what you’ve got to say, and say it hot.

Powerful and undoubtedly strong, love is an amazing emotion. In my opinion, the best description of love can be found in the Bible.

Corinthians 13
Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.

Read that over and over and when you’re finished, read it again. What does it tell you? How does it make you feel? Every time I read that passage I feel uplifted.

A human being has a natural desire to have more of a good thing than he needs.
~ Mark Twain

Have you ever experienced sitting down to a great meal and you can’t help but indulge yourself to the point of uncomfortableness? Knowing when to stop can be a difficult thing to do, but in doing so you allow yourself to enjoy it more. When you eat too much at dinner, those last few bites don’t taste as good as the first few.
