You Can Make a Difference

Sometimes we may feel that our actions do not make a difference or contribute anything. We shouldn’t feel that way at all. The simplest action will cause a ripple effect and touch someone else’s life in some way. Everything in this world is interconnected. Science suggests that something as trivial as the beating of a butterfly’s wings in the Amazon can influence the formation of a tornado in Texas. (more…)

What is Love?

Powerful and undoubtedly strong, love is an amazing emotion. In my opinion, the best description of love can be found in the Bible.

Corinthians 13
Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.

Read that over and over and when you’re finished, read it again. What does it tell you? How does it make you feel? Every time I read that passage I feel uplifted.

Have you ever experienced sitting down to a great meal and you can’t help but indulge yourself to the point of uncomfortableness? Knowing when to stop can be a difficult thing to do, but in doing so you allow yourself to enjoy it more. When you eat too much at dinner, those last few bites don’t taste as good as the first few.
