A Dog’s Purpose

The following was an e-mail sent to me from my Mom. After reading it, I felt I had a better understanding on life and what our purpose is. Take a moment to read the following with an open mind.

Being a veterinarian, I had been called to examine a ten-year-old Irish Wolfhound named Belker. The dog’s owners, Ron, his wife Lisa, and their little boy Shane, were all very attached to Belker, and they were hoping for a miracle. (more…)

Smiling is Important

As the saying goes “It takes more muscles to frown than it does to smile”. With that being said, I want to take the opportunity to express how important it is to smile every day. It can communicate feelings such as: love, happiness, pride, contempt, and embarrassment.

Smiling not only makes you stand out, but it also helps your body to function better. Smiling improves your health, your stress level and your attractiveness. You may not know it, but we are drawn to people who smile. We see a person smiling and want to know what is so good. (more…)

Happy New Year 2009

With a new year comes new beginnings. As we look back on how we spent 2008, I hope most of you can smile and be thankful for what took place. Not everything that happens can and will be for the better good, but remember that everything happens for a reason.

Your Life Has a Purpose

What do you want to be when you grow up?  I am still asking myself that question.  It use to mean, what do you want your profession to be.  Now when I ask myself that question I change it a bit.  What is your purpose in life?  Some people spend a lifetime searching for their purpose.  While others know exactly what their purpose is.  Your purpose can be simple in nature, such as changing the mood of people around you.  Your purpose can be performed on a grand scale, such as rallying communities to support a cause.  Either way, your purpose is important in changing the way people think.
